Jeff’s Update from Germany - Wed., 11/26

Hope you all have a great Thanksgiving.  We had a great concert tonight to a very good crowd.  The people are so gracious and loving.  I am making pictures with my friend Bill’s camera and will get them when I return.   There is still lots of snow and it is pretty cold her.  In spite of the weather the concert crowds are good.  I am learning to say few words in German mostly “where is the toilet” and “how much does this cost”.  I would not survive very long here with out help.

We talked with Jonathon and Ritta this evening.  The doctors were able to put the drainage “tube” late afternoon today.  Bro. Morgan is back in his room and everything looks good.  Thanks for your prayers today.

Awaiting Procedure - Wednesday, 11/26

Bro. Morgan had a good evening.  He is waiting on a procedure this morning to install a drain from the two abscess to his stomach.  Even though his appetite is back, he is not able to eat anything till after the procedure.  Once again, he expressed his thankfulness for everyone’s continued prayers!  It is still uncertain how much longer he will be in the hospital.  One day at a time!

Reevaluation Time - Tuesday 11/25

The doctors were not able to place the drainage tube in yesterday. They are going to wait and let the abscess, (a.k.a. cyst or pocket) fill back up and then evaluate again. It appears at this time that there may be more than one pocket. The doctors were hoping they were joined but it doesn’t look likely. He will probably be in the hospital through the rest of the week. Please remember him and his family has they make Thanksgiving plans in his room. He had a rough night and the fevers have already started creeping back up but he was up walking the hall this morning and stands ready to battle an abscess once again.

Bro. Morgan - Monday 11/24

We learned this morning that Bro. Morgan’s abscess drained on its own sometime during the night. The good news is that it could have rectified itself. The bad news is, if it starts to fill back up, they will still need to go in and insert the drainage tube which is on hold at this time. Mrs. Ritta said they may be in the hospital for a couple of more days.

Afternoon Update:

The doctors went ahead and inserted a drainage tube this afternoon.

Sunday, November 23

Bro. Morgan had a restless night.  He is able to eat some.  Keep praying for him and Ritta.  The doctors are discussing ways of releaving the fluid/abscess that is building up.  They might be able to do something on Monday.  Keep praying!

Report from Germany - Sunday, November 23

It snowed here today like crazy and was about 30 degrees all day.  We did two concerts in two different towns and did not get back to the hotel until 10:30.  Hope church went well today because I prayed for you all.  I have to really work on the time because we are 7 hours ahead of you. My prayers are with you as you keep on keeping on!

Saturday, November 22 - Bro. Morgan Update

Bro. Morgan had a little better day today.  He still has no appetite.  He is still nauseas.  Thanks for your continued prayers.  The doctors are discussing the next steps they need to take to help Bro. Morgan.  Ritta is able to go home at night to get her rest.  Long days in the hospital room can wear thin at times.  Many of us can relate.
